Mad TV pushed the limits and it was ok because they were funny and hated on everyone equally. Sadly they would not survive today even if it was the all stars in their prime. Glad I was there to see the episodes live with my brothers

everyone talks about how MAD TV would never be able to do a lot of their sketches today and that is true. But it should also be extremely worrisome at how much PC has been allowed to influence free expression just in the course of 10-20 years. I just don't know if there is a cap to what PC people will keep finding offensive.
Who are "PC people"? This is just insulting the intellectual bandwidth of an entire minority group plain and simple. How can this not be viewed as an offensive skit? Part of what made mad tv really good is that the black and Asian actors were willing to have a laugh at their own expense in the name of Comedy. This would be offensive if it was real. But it's not, they are taking old stereotypes and dramatizing them. If a friend said to me they legitimately think Negroes should not have money because it makes them violent then I would find that extremely offensive. We can take everything extremely serious and act self-righteous or we can mock old stereotypes and have a good laugh with one another. I prefer the latter.
